Just the 3 of us...

So I got a surprise Gary, Laura and I got to go camping. We spent the first day around Arches National Park and spent the night on BLM land near Goblin Valley. The moon and stars were so beautiful that night, Laura and I took the tent and let Gary sleep in the car. It took forever for me to fall asleep that night. One I was exhausted from hiking, two the moon was so bright, three the crickets were so loud, and finally it was so hot. Finally around 2 am I fell asleep and the sun woke me up about 7 am. We packed up and drove to our next hike.. Crack Canyon. Yep we hiked down the crack of the canyon through the river bed. Awesome. It was more like hiking/rock climbing, which I like. We finished the day at Goblin Valley looking at the hoodoos.
Arches National Park
above is Balanced Rock for obvious reasons
Hiking up to Delicate Arch was so much fun. It was not a long hike but with no shade and going up hill it seemed like forever. Here are some sites along the way...
We made it.. Delicate Arch. Famous on the Utah license plate. It is huge.
Crack Canyon
I think Gary needed more water, he was getting a little delirious
I slipped in the mud and won the award for getting the dirtiest.
Can you find me below?
Laura went out of her comfort zone

Goblin Valley
These mounds are called 'hoodoos'
HOODOO you think these hoodoos are?
The drive home...
Traveling Home
On my way home I traveled up Hwy 101 stopping at the SeaLion Caves near Florence, the Oregon Aquarium in Newport, and through Astoria... It feels great to be home but only for a little while... Canada and Alaska here I come!
