Кафе Ярмарка

Cafe Yarmarka was the destination today for Dallas and I, so we hopped on the ferry to Seattle.

After taking a short walk through Seattle we arrived at 'Pike Place Market'. And guess what I've never been there. I can't explain it but in all my 30 some years I've just never explored Seattle. I guess I'll come back and do some sight seeing.

Dallas has been to Cafe Yarmarka (Кафе Ярмарка) a few times and has become good friends with the owners, so I enjoyed the afternoon listening to them speak in Russian (I understood a few words from my studies) while I had my first taste of Russia. On our menu for the day Borscht (Борщ) a beet based hearty soup with a spoonful of sour cream on top was delicious and Pelmeni (Пельмени) a meat filled dumpling also served with sour cream and they are to die for...

And of coarse you have to eat your Daily Dozen of Doughnuts. Oh they were so good.

It was a very enjoyable day and I'll be back for more Cafe Yarmarka and to see 'Pike Place'.

Hop on the Cleaver Train

It's not a real family gathering unless we get the old massage train going. Taken while setting up for grandpa Cleavers funeral service.

Turtle Turtle.....

Now that I've got some spare time I get to play in the lawn with my turtle Sergei. Isn't he cute. I picked him up in Smileyburg, Kansas last October.
