Mount Shasta

Day 2
Sleeping at rest areas is not very comfortable. Up real early Mount Shasta looks cool at night. Stopped in Redding for breakfast at Shari's. Continued south on I-5 and East on 20. Here's a scenic view of Emigrant Trail in the Tahoe National Forest.

Driving across Nevada took forever, it seemed. Finally the first rest area in Utah.

1. that is a freaky toilet.
2. once grandpa tried to make us sleep in a rest stop coming back from Sugar City (in the motor home of course) and Lisa really fought with him on it. Then two minutes later, grandpa stepped out and walked to the bathroom, only to be rushed back to the motor home by a couple police officers because some bad guy was hiding at the stop. It was crazy! Anyway, that is what I think of when I think of sleeping at rest stops.

3. I also love the view of Mount Shasta at night! It is so beautiful
